As well as paying the rent, you may also be required to make
the following permitted payments.
Before the tenancy
starts (payable to Cornwall Homeseekers ‘the agent'
Holding Deposit: 1 weeks rent
Deposit: 5 weeks rent
During the tenancy
(payable to the Agent)
Payment of £50.00 including VAT if you want to
change the tenancy agreement
Payment of interest for late payment of rent, which is
calculated at a rate of 3 % above the Bank of England’s base rate
Payment for reasonably incurred costs due to the loss of
keys/security devices
Payment of any unpaid rent and other reasonable costs
associated with your early termination of the tenancy. Should the tenant
wish to vacate the property during a fixed term this is only possible with the landlord's consent. There will then be a charge to
the tenant of £250 which is payable to the agent. The Tenant continues to be responsible for the rent, utilities and upkeep of the
property until the beginning of the next tenancy or until the end of the fixed term (which ever is sooner.)
During the tenancy
(payable to the provider) only if permitted and applicable
Utilities – gas, electricity, water, sewage, oil, septic tank emptying
Communications – telephone and broadband
Installation of cable/satellite
Subscription to cable/satellite supplier
Television licence
Council Tax
Other permitted
payments
Any other permitted payments, not included above, under the
relevant legislation including contractual damages.

Cornwall Homeseekers is a member of Propertymark,
which is a client money protection scheme, and also a member of PRS, which

Any
payment you have made will be withheld if any of the four grounds apply to you:
1.If
the tenant pulls out of the tenancy before the contracts are signed
2.If
the tenant fails a Right to Rent check. (agents and landlords are not allowed
to let property to somebody that doesn't have the right to live in the United
Kingdom
3.If
the tenant provides false or misleading information (including undisclosed
bad credit history/CCJ’s)
4.If the tenant is not responding to emails,
not giving the referencing agency what they need for longer than 15 days
